ASPICE

ASPICE

Automotive SPICE (A-SPICE or ASPICE for short) is a system process improvement and capability determination standard for the automotive industry. It is currently prevalent in the automotive supply chain and is a standard for car manufacturers to evaluate the system (include software and hardware) development process of suppliers. ASPICE is derived from the reassessment model provided by ISO 12207 and ISO 15504–5:2006. It is currently issued by VDA WG13 (Working Group 13 of the German Automobile Association) and is a registered trademark of VDA. The latest ASPICE standard is version 4.0 released in December 2023, and extending to include hardware engineering and machine learning engineering. The reorganized modules and processes are more intuitive and easier to follow, while also placing more emphasis on quality practices during product development. Currently, ASPICE has been adopted commonly in Automotive industry standards.
